First Annual Oktoberfest

October is finally here, so It’s time to celebrate and cheer, with lots of good food, good times and good bier!
Come join us in the PSCC Biergarten.

Board of Director Elections

In preparation for the Board of Directors election in November, the Nominating Committee will begin selecting candidates in September. The Board of Directors manages the business and affairs of the Club. Board members serve a two-year term and meet the second Tuesday of each month for approximately 2 hours.

The Nominating Committee will accept recommendations for candidates until September 30, 2019. The membership will be notified of the slate of candidates by November 2, 2019. If you have a candidate recommendation, please email the Nominations Committee Chairman, Jennifer Earle at .

Voting for open Board of Directors positions will take place from November 4-12 by ballots available in the Club during office hours.

2019 Annual Members Meeting for 2019 will be held on November 13 at 7:00 pm in the clubhouse. The Board of Directors election results will also be announced.


No Lifeguards on Duty

Lifeguard season has ended. There will be no lifeguards on duty beginning in October. If you are planning a deck party and need a lifeguard, please contact the Cabana Club office and we will schedule one for your party.


Late Fees Increased

Payment of dues and assessments is a condition of club membership. They are due on the first of the month. A late fee of $25.00 will be charged to an account that has not been paid by the 15th of the month. Thank you for your prompt payments.


Standing Rules - Supervision of Children Reminder

Parents are reminded to please review pool, deck and diving board rules with their children (including no hanging on the lane lines). These rules are posted on the wall behind the diving board and on our website.

Even when a lifeguard is on duty, no child under 14 (fourteen) years of age will be allowed to swim without an adult or guardian at poolside with them. State of California and insurance regulations.

Children under 14 (fourteen) years of age are not allowed at the Club without an adult or guardian. Children 14 years of age and older and unaccompanied by an adult or guardian are expected to follow all pool and club rules. Parents are responsible for the conduct of their children.


Guest Registration, Fees and Deck Rule Reminders

We would like to remind our members to register and pay for their guests in the office upon entering the club. For insurance purposes, please list the first and last name of each guest on the guest register.

Guest fees are as follows: $2.00 Monday-Thursday, $5.00 Friday-Sunday and $10.00 during holiday club events. Children under three years of age are free, but must be listed as guests and are required to wear swim pull ups. Please contact office for guidelines and to submit a request for parties of more than 10 guests.

A friendly reminder to all members and their guests to please clean up after yourself prior to leaving the club. Cleaning supplies are available in the clubhouse kitchen. Your cooperation is appreciated and Thank you!

Please do not move or take umbrellas out of the bases. You may move tables to adjust for shade. The bases are extremely heavy and require a special dolly to reposition. Please ask staff for assistance. Please note: Umbrellas will be closed during windy weather due to risk of injury to patrons and damage to equipment.


Billing information

As a reminder, the Cabana Club does not bill members automatically for dues and assessments. Each member is responsible for paying in a timely manner. Payment of dues and assessments is a condition of club membership. They are due on the first of the month. A late fee of $25.00 will be charged to an account that has not been paid by the 15th of the month. Thank you for your prompt payments.

All members with Automatic Payment authorizations on file are asked to contact the Cabana Club office to update credit card information if, and when, cards are replaced. Current information will ensure successful processing of membership dues without interruption. Someone is in the office every day to update credit card information.


Membership Cancellation

All cancellations require a 30-day notice in writing and will be effective from the next billing date (first of the month). We do not prorate the month based on the date of notice. Member is responsible for all dues or other payments until the effective cancellation date. When membership is cancelled, there will be a one year waiting period before you are eligible to be a member again. Reinstatement of membership after waiting period requires payment in full of all interim dues, late charges and assessments.


Parking Lot

It is very important to follow the rules when entering and exiting the Cabana Club parking lot. The proper way to enter is off of Atlanta Avenue and exit on to Schooner Lane. Please avoid stopping at entrance when dropping off swimmers and pull ahead to a marked parking space. Please do not park or block the exit. This will help ensure the safety of everyone. A fine of $50 will be assessed to violators.

Surf City Aquatics Club – SCAC

SCAC Masters Swim Program

  • Surf City Aquatics offers a year-round, early morning swim program from 5-6:00 am M-F for adults looking to sharpen their swimming skills and stamina. This program is offered to members and non-members.

Lane Lines

The lane lines and roller are property of the club purchased for organized swimming programs where they can be supervised and handled by trained staff. Lane lines are not always available for lap swimming nor is guaranteed due to risk to equipment mishandling and possible personal injury of members. Thank you for your cooperation in refraining from handling the lane line equipment.

Private, semi-private and group lessons for all ages and abilities are available. Drop ins are always welcome. Contact one of our outstanding tennis pros for classes and lesson times.
