Executive Board Elections

Members are encouraged to vote for candidates for four seats on the Executive Board. Board members get involved in our club community and provide feedback and direction. Ballots were sent out by email, will be available at the General Meeting and are available now in the Club office. All ballots must be submitted by November 3, 2015. Every family may submit one ballot. Your Club, Your Vote!


Annual General Board Meeting Reminder

The General Board Meeting for 2015 will be held on November 3rd at 7 pm in the clubhouse. Find out how the board operates, how we are doing financially and what is in store for the club. Get involved and vote for open seats available on the Executive Board.

Annual Holiday Party

The Annual Cabana Club Holiday Party will be held on the evening of December 4, 2015 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The party will feature food and fun activities for children and adults, including pictures with Santa. Mark your calendars and plan to attend! Reminder: There is no cost to attend; your membership dues will pay for the party! There will be no swim practice on this day.

Club Improvements

Playground: Playground: Pardon our dust! Watch for upcoming work beginning the week of November 16th as our as the climbing structure and playground surface are replaced! The process will involve removal of the existing play structure and lawn, installation of the new play structure and, finally, installation of a rubberized play surface. The play structure selected by the Executive Board is designed for children from 2-12 years of age. Please be aware that the ping pong area may be unavailable for several days as items for the renovation are stored in the breezeway.

Now Available

ZOGGS Swim Goggles are available in the club office in a full range of sizes for toddlers through adults. These goggles are high-quality, anti-fog, swim wear that have been very popular with our membership- rave reviews! Cost: $10 to $20 dollars.

ZOGGS Aqua Plugz ear plugs for $4.00 are also available in the office.

Either of these items may be purchased in the office and may be charged to your credit card on file.


Fall Tennis Academy Concluding in November

The Fall Tennis Academy will end on November 20, 2015 but opportunities to attend tennis classes will continue. Classes offered in the Fall Schedule will be taught by the pros on a drop-in basis beginning the week of November 30 through December 18th. Please contact the tennis pros (Rafael: 714-914-2761 or Drew: 949-540-8057) with specific questions about dates and times for this interim program.

 

Please note that the Winter Tennis Academy will begin in January, 2016. Information regarding this program will be available soon.

Lost and Found

Please check with the office if personal items are lost at the club. Items often turned in at the office are car keys, cell phones, and jewelry (including watches).

Credit Card on File

All members with Automatic Payment authorizations on file are required to contact the Cabana Club office to update credit card information if, and when, cards are replaced. Current information will ensure successful processing of membership dues without interruption. Someone is in the office every day to update this information.

Membership Dues/Late fees/Membership Assessments

Reminder: Cabana Club membership dues are due on the 1st and late after the 15th of each month. Late fees of $10 will be applied to overdue payments on the 16th of the month.
Payment of all membership assessments is also a condition of membership at the Cabana Club. For planning purposes members are reminded that the first membership assessment is paid when the membership is activated, the second is paid a year later and the third, and final, assessment is paid a year after that.
Members with overdue membership dues, late fees, and/or membership assessments will be locked out at the gate after 30 days and memberships will be cancelled if dues and assessments are not paid and current by 60 days.

Board Meeting

The Annual General Board Meeting will be on Tuesday, November 3rd at 7 pm in the Cabana Club clubhouse. Come see how the club is doing and what lies ahead in 2016. Executive Board elections will also take place at this time. The next regular monthly Executive Board Meeting will be on Tuesday, November 10 at 7pm in the clubhouse.
