Penguins are Coming!
The Penguins Swim Program for 2015 has been announced on the CabanaClubHB.org site.
Registration begins March 1, 2015 on the Penguins website.
Registration is open to members of Pacific Sands Cabana Club. Approved high school swimmers who are at least freshman this year are not required to be members of the Cabana Club. Registration fees starting March 1st through March 31st are only:
- $185 for the first child
- $10 discount for the second child
- $20 discount for each consecutive child
Register Early! There are a limited number of spots on the team available. Registration is for Cabana Club members only.
On April 1, fees increase to $200 for the first child, 2nd child discounts continue at $10 and $20 for each consecutive child. See all important details and dates on the Penguins website.
JR Guard Prep Classes
The Cabana Club will be offering Jr. Guard prep classes for all swimmers interested in qualifying for Jr. Guards. The Junior Lifeguard Prep Class is a four-week long program (12 practices each) designed to prepare your swimmer to meet the requirements of the Huntington Beach City Jr. Lifeguard and Huntington Beach State Junior Lifeguard testing. Prep Class schedule for Monday/Wednesday/Friday (2 Sessions):
Starts: Monday, March 23, 2015
Ends: Friday April 24, 2015
Session One from 6:00 – 6:45 pm (week 1: 6:30 start time to 7:15pm)
Session Two from 6:45 – 7:30 pm (week 1: 7:15 start time to 8:00pm)
Prep Class schedule for Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday (1 Session):
Starts: Saturday, March 21, 2015
Ends: Saturday, April 25, 2015
Tuesday & Thursday from 6:00 – 6:45 pm (week 1: 6:30 start time to 7:15pm)
Saturday 9:00 – 9:45 am
(Saturday, April 25th is added to make up for April 18th when Huntington Beach City Junior Lifeguard tryouts will be held at PSCC)
Registration begins immediately for Cabana Club members. Non-members may sign up beginning Monday, February 16, 2015 at 10 am. The program is limited to 90 swimmers- 30 in each session. Cost is $100 for members and $140 for non-members.
Cabana Club Lifeguard Recruitment
The Cabana Club is seeking Lifeguards for our summer season. Lifeguard applicants must be at least 15 ½ years old as of May 1, 2015 and have Lifeguard/CPR certification and First Aid Certification. This position will pay $10 per hour although those with experience may be paid more. Applications will be accepted until February 28, 2015.

The City of Huntington Beach will once again be renting our pool for Lifeguard re-qualifications and Junior Lifeguards tryouts. The Cabana Club pool will be closed during the closed for open swim during the dates/times listed below.
Lifeguard re-qualification dates and times are (pool closed):
- Saturday, Feb. 21: 7:00 am – 9:30 am
- Saturday, Mar 28: 7:00 am – 9:30 am
- Sunday, May 3: 7:00 am – 8:30 am
- Sunday, June 14: 7:00 am – 8:30 am

Please update all credit card information if your credit card on file expires or is replaced due to a credit card information breach. Outdated credit card information causes automatic payments for membership dues to fail in the credit card processing application.
Reminder: All dues are payable on the 1st of the month, late after the 15th of the month. Please call the Cabana Club office or stop by to provide current information. Please do not send Credit Card information in email.
